Jason Eckerson is a composer and performer who currently resides in Amherst Massachusetts. He holds a Master of Music degree in composition from the University of Massachusetts and has studied film composition with Mark Waters and Andy Hill at CBS studios in Los Angeles. He plays the upright bass, mandolin, clarinet, and guitar and has composed a variety of pieces, including a chamber opera, multiple mixed ensemble works, large-scale film compositions, and music for brass band and orchestra. As a former resident of Chicago, Mr. Eckerson has performed with multiple performance and arts groups around the city, most notably, The Summer is For Fireflies and Notes and Scratches.
